About the event
What is this about?
Friends of Koko Head need help sorting recycles from the cages in front of the school cafeteria. Volunteers separate and bag all HI 5¢ aluminum cans, glass bottles, and plastic bottles including removing any plastic bottle caps.
How does this effort benefit the students and the school?
Parents who volunteer will be rewarded Cobra Cash which is given to their child at school.Students can then purchase items at the Cobra Store!
After all the recycles are sorted, Reynolds Recycling will pick up, weigh all the bags, and issue a check benefiting Friends of Koko Head. Recycling raises between $700 - $1,000 and helps pay for fun activities like Halloween Trunk or Treat and Keiki Karnival.
What time and for how long are volunteers needed?
